Eric Byers
Called “ideally eloquent” by the Los Angeles Times, cellist Eric Byers enjoys a versatile career as a chamber musician, soloist, and composer. He has appeared on stages around the world including Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Wigmore Hall, Royal Stockholm Philharmonic, Edinburgh Festival, Melbourne Festival, Ojai Festival, Kennedy Center, Disney Hall, Mozarteum, and Esterházy Palace. Recognized with top prizes at many competitions, Byers made his solo debut at age 18 with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. After studies with Alan Harris and Richard Aaron, he worked with Ronald Leonard at USC Thornton School of Music and Colburn Conservatory. He received an Artist Diploma from Juilliard.
